DAY TRIPPIN': Sevilla pt 1

SATURDAY: Was our crazy (and somewhat last-minute) trip to Sevilla (although you may know of it as Seville).

We woke up at about 7am so we could leave the apartment by 8 to get to the train station by 8:20 for the departure at 8:40. That was the plan, anyway. We actually woke up at 7, left the house at 8:15 and didn't get to the train station until about 8:30 when we HAULED PAHTOOTY to buy our tickets and make it onto the train.

Unlike in America (specifically AMTRAK), the train has no delays. When it says it's going to leave at 8:40, it'll pull out of the station the SECOND it hits 8:40. Luckily, we made it in time! Tickets were 25 Euro for a round-trip to Sevilla (not too shabby).

When our train finally arrived at our stop, we were worried that we bought a ticket for the wrong stop. The GPS said that it'd take 6 hours to walk to Plaza de Espana (uh oh), but with some determined walking, we discovered that the main attractions we wanted to see were only a few blocks away.

Despite being a much bigger city, we came across tons of horse-drawn carriages

Stopped to get some breakfast

RIP to the best OJ I've ever had

Orange juice and toasted bread with tomatoes and olive oil :)

The only bad pictures I took while in Sevilla were the ones where I was too excited and couldn't steady my hand

Get ready for a crazy amount of selfies

Walking through the garden to try and find Plaza de Epana - I assumed that this would be the prettiest sight I'd see all day

Art Museum that we stepped into for maybe 3 minutes - even the ceiling was too much for me to handle

Note to Future Self: dress your kids up like they're going to be featured in a PBS Masterpiece Classic and send them into the city in  a horsedrawn carriage

This was the uneventful part of the day. The reason why this post had to be split into multiple parts is because, as the day unfolded, there were simply too many beautiful sights and things happening that I can't possibly narrow down my photos into one blog post without you scrolling for days and days and days.

NEXT STOP? PLAZA DE ESPANA <3
